This is a real gem--feels secluded in the jungle, but only 7 minutes from the fine dining of Ojochal and a short trip to the Whale's Tail, Marina Ballena national park, and the surfing schools and cute shops of Uvita and Dominical. Eden's nest is truly delightful--all the comfort, cleanliness and climate control of a hotel room, all the right-there-in-the-trees feeling of an ecolodge. Hosts Carlos and Tineka are warm and welcoming, and they know the area intimately. Great recommendations on things to see and do, and some lovely insider tips on where to eat and what's really worth spending precious vacation time on!
Rooms are light and airy, and elevated in a gorgeous garden with flowers, hummingbirds, and plenty of wildlife to watch from our private balcony. Good towels, comfy linens, and a great little kitchenette for snacks, coffee and light meals. The layout gives lots of privacy - we enjoyed feeling 'in the trees' through large windows and glass doors, without overlooking other rooms.
As of October 2018, the restaurant is under renovation, but it's an easy drive to the French bakery-cafe in town. Walk carefully when it's wet - flashlights and umbrellas are provided.
Can't wait to go back!

Our family stay at Eden’s Nest for our first visit to Costa Rica is one that’ll remain with us forever! The lush tropical landscapes surrounding the unique and fully equipped “Jungalows” allowed relaxing downtime between our adventures in and around Ojochal. Mountain and jungle views from the property are gorgeous, as well as the beautifully created gardens. Our hosts, Carlo and Tineka went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed the most of our vacation. Their tours were very informative and enjoyable for everyone in our large group (6-68yrs) and their outgoing personalities make this couple a pleasure to be around. The activities we partook in on this trip included visits to a stunning waterfall, area beaches with caves, ziplining (amazing experience!!), tour of a local farm, boat tour through the mangroves, as well as wildlife santuaries. We’ve seen monkeys, sloths, toucans, parrots, and many more exotic animals - even on the property at Eden’s Nest!! Thank you for this incredible experience... There’s no doubt we’ll be back here soon! “Pura Vida”

Our family of four enjoyed five days and 4 nights at this hideaway before going to the Osa Peninsula. Carlo toured us beyond the tourist routes up into the mountains where we visited a farm and shared the morning with a beautiful and generous Costa Rican family. So many surprises! We ate in the market in San Isidro then Carlo drove us further into the mountains where we hiked to stunning waterfalls. The entire day enlightened our family about the customs and culture of this gorgeous country. For our final morning, we are mixing smoothies using the fruits and coconut waters we have been given in our travels. Then we'll enjoy our fresh breakfast on the balcony of our jungalow while listening to the sounds of this serene place. We gave each of our children their own jungalow so they could read, write, and have peace. Hope to come back some day with friends! This trip was our first impression of Costa Rica and our expectations have been exceeded! Yes---we did do a tourist day of ziplining...so fun!!!
